How and why we're here

The Ockham Razor was born out of the desire to create a beautiful, simple razor that gives a great shave and is easy to use. The philosophy behind our design is all based on simplicity.

In response to the progression of modern razors, which has resulted in over-engineered products that you want to hide in a cupboard, we have kept things aesthetically uncomplicated - form follows function. We believe that beautiful products are a pleasure to use.

Our razor has no batteries, does not connect to your Wi-Fi and has no social media functionality. If that's what you're looking for, just wait, someone will probably do it soon.

What we offer is the beautiful style and simplicity of a more classic razor, but with the convenience of cartridges, which you can easily get hold of anywhere.

Our one-piece handle is easy to grip, easy to keep clean and it takes standard Gillette Mach 3 blades. The handle is built to last and is manufactured in England from solid metal.

We also minimize our packaging and ensure that it is all recyclable. We definitely don't package the razor in multiple layers of plastic that need the ironic use of a sharp blade to open.

The Ockham Razor Company was founded in London by Rob Hallifax and the team is now, in order of appearance: Rob, Nick and Bec. We launched via Kickstarter in early 2015 and are now manufacturing products.
